PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Mr. Nasir Uddin Mahmud obtained his Master’s in Commerce (1988) from the Department of Management Studies, Faculty of Business Studies, Dhaka University. That same year, he began his professional career in the Sales & Marketing Department of OOCL Bangladesh, a leading Hong Kong-based shipping line.

During his 10-year tenure at OOCL, Mr. Nasir played a pivotal role in managing the company’s overall sales and marketing operations. His exceptional performance earned him the “Best Salesperson of the Year” award multiple times. Under his leadership, OOCL experienced significant growth in business volume and market reputation.

ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY
In 1998, Mr. Nasir launched Crown Logistics Ltd., a logistics company in Bangladesh, in joint collaboration with an international freight forwarding company. As the founder and CEO, he currently serves as the Managing Director. In 1999, he co-founded Crown Container Line with a local partner and now holds the position of Chairman.

LEADERSHIP AND CONTRIBUTIONS
• Vice President of ACAB/BAFFA (2005-2009):
Elected as Vice President of the Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association (then ACAB, now BAFFA), Mr. Nasir played an instrumental role in implementing the Bangladesh Freight Forward ers Licensing Rules.- He contributed to the automation of the Chittagong Customs House.- He actively participated in the establishment of BAFFA, the national freight forwarders associa tion, ensuring better collaboration with government bodies and stakeholders for the advance ment of the nation’s transport sector.

• FBCCI Standing Committee (2009-2010)
He served as a member of the Standing Committee for Ports and Transport under the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), contributing to policy-making and development in the logistics sector.

With over 32 years of experience in the shipping, logistics, and freight forwarding industry, Mr. Nasir is recognized as a successful leader with a proven track record of creating, presenting, and implementing business plans to achieve organizational goals.

• Dangerous Goods Handling: Trained at an IATA-approved Airline Training Center.

• Training for Trainers (TOT): Participated in workshops on Training Fundamentals, Freight Forward ing, and Multimodal Transport, organized by the United Nations ESCAP.

RECOGNITION
In 2009, the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism of Bangladesh awarded Mr. Nasir Uddin Mahmud, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the freight forwarding industry.

INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT
To foster business development, Mr. Nasir has officially visited numerous countries, including China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, India, UAE, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Dominican Republic, Switzerland, Canada, and the USA

Mr. Nasir also holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Association of Mississauga.
